Florence Evacuees in for Free

The Furman athletics department is offering families displaced by Hurricane Florence free tickets to Saturday's 1:00 p.m. football game against Colgate at Paladin Stadium.

"We want to welcome our friends from coastal South and North Carolina who are displaced by Hurricane Florence to Paladin Stadium on Saturday afternoon," said director of athletics Mike Buddie. "Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected, and we hope to provide an enjoyable afternoon of college football to those who have evacuated to the Greenville area from the South and North Carolina coast."

Hurricane Florence evacuees from South Carolina and North Carolina who have traveled to the Upstate area are welcome and can obtain tickets in four different ways:

1) Email ticket@furman.edu or call 864-294-3099 to request/reserve tickets.
2) Pick up at the Timmons Arena Box Office (10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday)*
3) Pick up a voucher (good for two tickets) at a sponsoring hotel in the Upstate area and redeem it at the Timmons Arena Box Office or Paladin Stadium.*
4) Walk-up at will call ticket booth on Saturday at Paladin Stadium*

Sponsoring hotels include Courtyard Downtown, Crowne Plaza, Hampton Inn-Travelers Rest, Best Western-Travelers Rest, Home2Suites by Hilton, Hyatt Place, Hyatt Regency-Greenville, Towneplace Suites by Marriott

*A government issued photo ID (ex. driver's license) referencing a mandatory evacuation area must be presented to receive this free ticket offer.
