High school athletics lost a coaching pillar this week as Jack Curran, who led the basketball and baseball programs at Archbishop Molloy High School in Queens, N.Y., for 55 years, passed away at 82 years of age. Curran, who won more than 2,600 games on the court and diamond, was known as a mentor and father figure to generations of athletes.
