Washington University in St. Louis recently announced that Josh Whitman will take over as the school's athletic director. Whitman is leaving the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where he served as athletics director for four years to take the reins from John Schael, who is retiring after leading the Bears athletic department for 36 years. Tony Gwynn, head baseball coach at San Diego State, recently passed away at the age of 54 from cancer. Considered by many to be the greatest hitter of his generation during a hall-of-fame playing career, Gwynn was even more respected for the way he carried himself off of the field. A former two-sport athlete at SDSU, Gwynn spent the past 11 years in the Aztec dugout. This tribute video from San Diego State looks back at Gwynn's memorable and far-reaching career.
