Alan Farley had an ambitious plan: to add 300 new members to the Middle Tennessee State University Blue Raider Athletic Association during its spring membership campaign. He also had a secondary goal: for the campaign to last only 48 hours. Many of the children around Frankfort, Ill., admire the student-athletes at Lincoln-Way East High School. But a special event last spring left varsity team members in awe of a younger group of athletes. The athletic department at Crawfordsville (Ind.) High School has never experienced a major incident involving social media. Shorter UniversityWith a strong music and performing arts program, Shorter University has been referred to as "The Juilliard of the South."
